rhizome.org Member Exhibition presentations 4/24 AND 5/8

Sign up for a rhizome.org account (UM has an institutional membership, you will receive an invitational email shortly if you have not already). Explore all of Rhizome's resources, especially the ARTBASE. You will each curate a Member Exhibition, including a 400-500 word curatorial statement. Include 5-7 artworks in the exhibition that clearly articulate the theme you present in your curatorial statement. You will give oral presentations of your exhibitions during our final two meetings.

CV
There are many ways to organize an Artist's CV. It generally starts with the artist's contact info & education background (college and special programs only), followed by a variety of headings appropriate to the artist's exhibition, publication and award history. Headings include Solo Exhibitions, Two Person Exhibitions, Selected Exhibitions, Group Exhibitions, Screenings, Performances, Commissions, Publications, Bibliography, Residencies, Awards and Honors, etc. usually beginning with Solo Exhibitions (if at least 3) or Selected Exhibitions. Notice that the categories and margins make it really easy to skim through these CV's and get the important info at a glance.
